master closets becomes master bath

before

Our client came up with the design to replace two deep closets with a master bath and standard size closet.

We fine tuned it and brought it to life.

make use of that under-stair space

Don’t want a bathtub in your everyday bathroom? A basement guest bathroom is the perfect place for that oh-so-important-for-resale bathtub.

A great vanity and some accent color makes this guest bath a winner.

from boring to classic

This bathroom didn’t get any bigger, but a white tile wainscot and a nice choice of paint makes this bathroom feel bigger and brighter. The classic hexagonal floor tile and Kohler Fairfax fixtures lend a classic, timeless feel. This bathroom will never go out of style, and that is a great investment!

bright and clean

before

A previous homeowner had a grand vision for the bath, but our client wasn’t so thrilled.

It’s kinda hard to get a shower curtain to work on this tub-shower.

A light gray, painted cabinet with lots of storage, a clean white countertop, updated fixtures, white subway tile with a tile accent band, and a shower niche absolutely transformed this hall bathroom.

outdated to updated

BEFORE

If pale pink tile just isn’t your thing, it’s easy and inexpensive to create a bold, modern look with paint and chocolate, flat panel cabinets.

This hall bath now provides lots of functional storage space along with its updated look.

tub and shower combo

The soaking tub dream becomes a reality in this relatively small bathroom. Rob’s tiling skills make a custom sized shower a cinch.

Rob was wonderful to work with on our total bathroom remodel. We had big ideas and he was great at helping us make our dream a beautiful reality. He is smart, detail oriented, reliable, timely, and a true craftsman. He is really skilled and knows his products. In any big remodel, the person who does the work spends a lot of time in your house, and Rob was fun to have around and get to know, while still being a very quiet, neat and unobtrusive presence. He always let us know when he was coming and what was happening. The other professionals who worked on the project (plumber, electrician) were also very skilled and pleasant. Rob was very eco conscious about materials and working environment while in the house. He worked well with our architect. Rob is an amazing problem solver who never gives up!
We are totally pleased with our new, wonderful bath.

out with the old…

before

This bathroom was very poorly laid out, the tile was ugly and popping off, the wallpaper had to go, and the sink was tiny and cramped.

We relocated the plumbing to create his-and-hers sinks and a larger shower. Marmoleum Click flooring in color Blue Heaven feels warm and comfortable underfoot.

before

The existing vanity was useless and just taking up space. The soffit made the room feel tight.

We removed the soffit and added wall mounted lighting above each sink. In addition to the sink cabinets, this bathroom also has two tall storage cabinets.

BEfore

The existing shower was very small and wasn’t working. The old, 4-gallon toilet was leaking and in an awkward location.

Rearranging the fixtures to create a “galley” layout makes the bathroom ultra-functional. The navy shower tile with clear-glass sliding shower door adds a nice color accent.

keep it simple

Sometimes it’s just time to replace those plastic tiles on the wall and say “goodbye” to avocado green. Keep it simple with a vibrant paint color and classic fixtures.

Tub is just the wrong color? Refinish it instead of replacing it, especially if it’s cast iron. Cast iron soaking tubs keep the water warm a lot longer than acrylic or steel tubs.

keep it simple 2

BEFORE

A beautiful maple cabinet with flat panel doors, modern pulls, a complimentary color palette on the walls, and marmoleum floor bring this bathroom up to date.

The 36 inch countertop height helps with ergonomics.

small and organic

We are really pleased with our “new” bathroom. The great design suggestions make it feel so much more spacious. And despite numerous snags with “old” bathroom problems, we feel Rob did an awesome job with particularly careful attention to the little details. It’s so fresh, clean and inviting now. We’re really very appreciative of your quality workmanship.

A big mirror, and cabinet space stolen from a bedroom closet, make this bathroom larger.

A handcrafted cherry counter, modern fixtures and marble tile add class.

Some older homes have tiny bathrooms, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be beautiful and functional. Simplicity and warmth make this room feel cozy. Get the candles ready for a nice evening soak!
